Olivia Mukam has six years of experience working with thousands of youth leaders, high school students and university students in Cameroon, allowing Olivia to be well versed with the region’s youth challenges and opportunities. In 2009, at the age of 21, she founded Harambe Cameroon, a social entrepreneurship training and accelerator program that has organized 5 annual social business plan competitions, directly trained 1200 project-holders, indirectly mobilized more than 9,000 people, recruited 45 staff members and mentored 5 operational social businesses. In 2012, Olivia co-founded a for-profit enterprise called Solutionneurs that provides business development services (business plan creation, market analysis, media outreach and financial services) to entrepreneurs and businesses seeking to invest and/or start a business in Cameroon. Within 2 years of existence, Solutionneurs recruited and positioned 54 part-time staff and has executed close to 64 national and international projects. Olivia has served as a jury member on international business plan competitions such as the Mentor Capital Network (former William James Competition) Business Plan Competition, and the USADF entrepreneurship award for South Africa, Tanzania, and Ghana. Since 2014, Ms. Mukam has served as one of Microsoft 4Afrika 8 advisory board members, and in 2015 she was selected as a young advisor for the Brand Africa initiative.
