Saleh Bawazir is an entrepreneur with experience founding multiple businesses in Kenya and other countries abroad. Most of Saleh’s experience revolves around international trade and the retail business within an entrepreneurial or family-business setting. This includes the process of launching start-ups and international trade negotiations. He has been very much involved in the setting up and operations of retail outlets and management of their supply chain in addition to many other direct responsibilities involved in running SMEs. He has experience starting businesses in multiple countries including Morocco, Singapore, Belgium, UAE and Kenya to name a few.

Over the last four years, Saleh’s focus has turned towards exporting of building materials and spices, and more recently the production of furniture. He also shares a keen interest in performance management systems, in particular their effect, and development within the entrepreneurial and family firm setting. He is continually looking to add to his knowledge base through academia and applying new learning to the family firm context. Saleh has a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, an MBA from the University of Warwick and is at the final stages of his PhD in Performance Management from Cranfield University.
