Peter Mutisya, currently based in Arusha, Tanzania, has launched businesses in both Kenya and Tanzania and has a deep understanding of agriculture sectors. His first business, launched in 2003 in Kenya, imported specialized farm tools for tea and sugarcane harvesting. Back in Tanzania, Peter worked for years in agrochemical and maize sectors.

As Peter says, “the entrepreneur bug was still with me,” and a few years later he registered his own agrochemical company to meet the demand for affordable products for local Tanzanian farmers. After a few pivots, in 2008, Peter’s business now includes 12 official registered agrochemical brands in Tanzania. Peter’s entrepreneurial spirit runs high and his company has already diversified. He has registered an additional company in Tanzania for maize seed development and currently his business has four registered and released varieties in Tanzania. Peter studied at the University of Nairobi.
