Idris Ayodeji Bello is an Afropreneur & Partner at LoftyInc Ltd, the company behind Wennovation Hub. Wennovation Hub is an innovation platform that successfully accelerated the launch of a dozen start-ups. These start-ups create a positive impact on healthcare, education and e-commerce, creating jobs and raising seed funds locally and internationally. Wennovation Hub won the 2012 SAP Ashoka Global Changemaker Competition for its work with startups in Lagos, Nigeria.
Idris mentors, advises and invests in several African start-ups across the growing African landscape. He continues to devote his efforts to the development of innovation-driven, technology-enabled social enterprises that empower underrepresented communities and develop disruptive ideas to change lives on the African continent.
Idris worked with the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative where he played a major role in the deployment and evaluation of Swaziland’s first mobile health patient appointment reminder system, as part of the country’s National AIDS Program. He has also participated to the annual Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU) meeting where he publicly engaged with President Clinton on the issues of leadership in Africa and intensifying efforts targeted at leveraging past African leaders to play a role in public policy that affect youth and women.
Idris holds advanced degrees in computer science, business administration and global health from the University of Houston, Rice University, and the University of Oxford, UK respectively.
