Hilda’s experience spans senior regional and country marketing leadership roles at blue chip companies including Unilever, Diageo, and Standard Chartered in the East Africa region. As a Marketing Consultant her experiences have expanded to provide strategic Business and Marketing support to public and private actors within the sectors of Health, Transport, Education, IT, Gender, Micro Finance, Insurance, and Agriculture.

In addition, her responsibilities have included providing ongoing direction and leadership in building strategic and operational capabilities within her teams as well as coordinating third party Marketing firms and resource budgets worth millions of dollars towards successfully achieving targeted organizational market, revenue and bottom line growth objectives.

Her marketing skills range from strategy development, brand equity management, consumer understanding, communication (including Behavioral Change Communication), and Stakeholder Engagement. With Diageo Marketing, Sales and Finance teams, Hilda provided proficient coaching in training sessions across the region.

Hilda is currently the founder and Managing Director of Blue Edge Marketing, a Marketing Firm specializing in Strategic Marketing and Communication Planning, Execution, and In-house capacity building.
