George Kwadwo Appiah, Ghanaian techpreneur and innovator, is driven by his passion for development and empowerment of youth. He believes in creating platforms that help promote local innovations which tackle critical challenges in communities and also support youth entrepreneurship.
George co-founded and is now the CEO of Kumasi Hive, a multi-space innovation place for rapid prototyping of ideas, budding local innovations, impact start-up support and promoting youth entrepreneurship as a way of addressing critical social economic and developmental challenges.
With a background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Renewable energy, he has a key interest in designing thinking coupled with appropriate technology.
In addition, George also specializes in industry 4.0 technologies like Internet of Things, Drones, Augmented/Virtual reality etc.
George is a World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Shaper and the curator for the Kumasi Hub of the Global Shapers Community.
