Esther Gathigi, Kenyan Global Shaper, changemaker and financial services enthusiast, offers her expertise through mentorship and knowledge sharing with a special focus on entrepreneurial capacity development.
As a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Esther collaborates with young business leaders in Kenya and abroad to impact the lives of others through projects in education, environment, and entrepreneurship. She is passionate about volunteering her skills and expertise to assist young and aspiring entrepreneurs develop much needed skills and insights to transform their startups into high potential businesses ventures.
Esther is currently the Country Director of Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT), an organisation seeking to support young entrepreneurs to become innovators and leaders, and to create and apply digital solutions that have a positive impact in their communities. Prior to joining DOT, Esther lead WECREATE Kenya, an initiative seeking to help women start or expand their businesses through mentoring, networking, training, and access to financing.
As a mentor for the African Entrepreneurship Award, Esther helps young entrepreneurs enhance their skills and knowledge to transform the entrepreneurship landscape in Kenya, and to highlight success stories across the continent.
