Apollo Segawa, a Ugandan entrepreneur and business owner, mentors hundreds of agro-innovative entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Apollo leads CURAD, an agro-entrepreneurship incubation center hosted at Makerere University, where he provides entrepreneurs and SMEs with financial support and monitoring services to launch and grow agro-businesses in Uganda.

Apollo also founded Simply Natures, the first commercial banana juice production business in South Africa, and consults for various agribusinesses in the East-Central and Southern African regions.

As a mentor for the African Entrepreneurship Award, Apollo says he is “humbled to be part of an African mentorship program for young innovators and has a strong belief that African development can only be achieved through nurturing innovations into successful businesses”.
