Othman Benjelloun is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of BMCE Bank Of Africa Group and Chairman of Finance.Com, the Bank’s holding company.
Nominated Banker of the Year in 2007 by the Union of Arab Banks, President Benjelloun is a recognized leader worldwide for his social and entrepreneurial contributions to Africa.
Since 1981, Mr Benjelloun has been an Adviser to the Washington-based Center for Strategic International Studies (CSIS), formerly presided by Dr. Henry Kissinger.
In 2013, he was given the prestigious title of Honorary Trustee by CSIS.
With his dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility, Mr Benjelloun founded BMCE Bank Foundation with a two-fold mission – environmental protection and education, primarily fighting illiteracy by building and managing community schools in rural areas in Morocco and Africa.
President Benjelloun is the inspiration behind the African Entrepreneurship Award and describes it as a part of values that have stemmed from 75 years of doing business and his belief that “inspiring the future for young generations is a critical responsibility for us.”
Brahim Benjelloun-Touimi is the Executive Management Director of BMCE Bank of Africa since 2010 and Executive Management Director of Bank of Africa Group since 2015.
Mr. Benjelloun-Touimi leads BMCE Bank of Africa’s (BBOA) Moroccan and sub-Saharan Africa expansion. Known for his infectious energy and tireless enthusiasm for growth, Mr. Benjelloun-Touimichairs BOA across the African continent to ensure that BOA is identifying how to meet the financial needs of the 21st Century African business man and woman. He is on the Board of multiple other organizations such as BMCE International, BMCEEuroServices, and all subsidiaries of BMCE.
As a strategic visionary, Mr. Benjelloun-Touimi is leading the pan-African growth strategy and global initiatives of BMCE Bank of Africa Group while ensuring this leading bank prioritizes its corporate social responsibility to the communities.
Mr. Benjelloun-Touimi has a background in capital markets from France and with the IMF in the UK. He holds a Doctorate in Currency-Finance-Bank from Université Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne. This is his fourth year as an AEA Jurist.
